This is freaking scary.  As you know I was alone when I downed this elk in
ND.  I was using my camera's timer attached to my shooting stick to give me
enough time to get into the picture.  I knew there were a lot of cats in the
area but had no idea they would come in this close to people.  He had to be
within 10 feet of me and I didn't even know it.  *I about crapped my pants
when* *I looked at the pictures the next morning and saw he was there.*

First Kona sunset

During landing. Our flight got in over an hour early....ahhhh the
sweet warm air of hawai'i

Hawaii on a budget

Day 1: travel day

We are leaving from Aspen airport. Parking is typically $20+ a day.
So we opted for the bus $4 per person.

Also we are not checking bags (saves $15 - $25) each way.

Packed a lunch and a water bottle (to take care of the no liquids rule).

We are there for a week and my goal is not to exceed $100.

The only caveat is that my girlfriend Jodi's mom and brother live
there so lodging is taken care of and we used miles for the flights
(even though they are less than $300 right now). Also I packed my own
snorkeling gear so that should save a little money too.

43.6 lb World record Rainbow Trout.

Now THAT is a hog.  I was beginning to think one of the brothers was bait and the other reeled it in...
